Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy Experimental Station

This experimental station is a cryogenic high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy experimental station. Its core function is to probe the information of the electronic band structure and spin degrees of freedom in quantum materials. The experimental station is equipped with a Scienta Omicron electron energy analyzer and a VLEED spin detector. It uses a 5 - dimensional sample holder with a temperature control range of 7 - 400 K, and can utilize different synchrotron radiation polarizations to resolve the orbital degrees of freedom in the electronic structure.

The experimental station is equipped with a variety of auxiliary equipment. Users can use Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) to etch and anneal samples, use Low Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED) to characterize the atomic structure of the sample surface, and also use alkali metal evaporation sources to modulate the carrier concentration on the sample surface, etc.

The experimental station uses a universal Omicron flat sample holder.
