Photodissociation Spectroscopy (IRFEL-PDS) experimental station

发布时间:2025-08-11 浏览次数:10

The photodissociation spectroscopy experimental station is built based on an infrared free electron laser (IRFEL). It mainly consists of a laser ablation cluster source, a quadrupole mass spectrometer, a cryogenic ion trap, and a reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Leveraging the advantages of the IRFEL source, this system achieves a sensitivity up to seven orders of magnitude higher than that of traditional IR photodissociation spectroscopy. It overcomes the limitations of conventional infrared absorption spectroscopy techniques, such as low sensitivity and poor spatial and temporal resolution. This allows for in-depth studies of cluster structures and dynamics related to catalysis and energy chemistry, offering insights into cluster geometry, electronic properties, chemical bonding, and structural evolution.

Parameters:

lIon beam source chamber vacuum: 2.3×10-6 Pa
