Particle accelerator has been driven by high energy physics for decades. However, with the energy demand for future collider becomes higher (eg, ILC of 3TeV SRF linac), the cost for a future collider has been extensively pushed. Advanced accelerating technologies are being developed to reduce the cost for future colliders. Based on the achievements of R&D on future collider, there are many ongoing projects, such like LCLSII, FRIB, ADS in China and so on. In the talk, I’ll review the current R&D front of RF linac and its applications in science and environment in future. |
